My weekend was pretty darn great. I won VIP tickets to see X Japan at Madison Square Garden. I already had a floor ticket so I was going one way or the other but I can't say no to VIP!! Yeah, the first couple weren't particularly great but once we got to my third outfit, which was also the outfit I was leaving to go to the show to I started to like some of the photos; that third outfit was my hide cosplay. The X Japan concert is tomorrow.
I suppose I should be more excited about it but I'm just... not, for whatever reason. I'll be bringing my hide gear to do cosplay (sans guitar) but hrm, I dunno. I went camping for two nights over the weekend with my family - father, uncle, brother, brother's wife, and 14 mo. old nephew - near Lake Hemet on the way up to Idyllwild which was a nice change from this bloody desert. It was full of huge pine trees and actually got cold at night; a nice change from down at the desert floor up in the mountains. I ( Read more... )

Tomorrow I will go to Yokohama by Shinkansen to catch the X JAPAN concert and then race back to the station to catch a night bus home to Osaka arriving at around 7am the next morning (Sunday). Yeah, so yesterday wasn't the best day though I assumed as much when I signed up for this Masters' seminar course. But I did get a surprise cake in the middle of class which was great. I almost cried. I really appreciated the effort that went into that to try and make my birthday better.

Had my intro to my Masters seminar on Global Citizenship through Hiroshima University today.
